Welcome to Cottonwood Outfitters, one of the largest providers of guided rifle and bow hunting in Montana. The hunting area we offer comprises eight private ranches including our own. These large ranches range from 10,000 acres to 43,000 acres each.
Our hunting land varies tremendously and includes river bottoms, hay meadows, rough badlands, and high ridges. There are plenty of terrific vantage points for scoping out the area during your elk hunts. In past years, hunters on our land have maintained a success rate of over 95% on both deer and antelope.
We are now offering turkey hunts during the Spring season (Mid April-Mid May). Merriam turkeys flourish on some of our ranches. The birds have had little to no pressure and are great for calling and decoying. IMG_0126These birds are not hybrids, posses beautiful colors and full white tipped fans.

The beautiful Bitterroot and Sapphire Mountains with their majestic peaks are home to trophy size Big Game. The Montana areas for hunting are in the Bitterroot and Lolo National Forests of Western Montana. Permitted on over 2 million acres, including areas: 202, 203, 204, 240, 250, 260, 261, 270 and area 700. Hotel or Bunkhouse facilities for housing are also available for some hunts.
Also, great Montana hunts for Mountain Goat, Moose and Big Horn Sheep if you have appropriate license and tag. We also offer Antelope hunts in Eastern Montana. These hunts are on a drawing and if unsuccessful, your deposit is transferred to another hunt or refunded. Our office will do all necessary paperwork, and forward the application to you for signature and appropriate funds to be mailed by deadline of the application.
